"Is there a way to navigate the widget without using the mouse?"
Yes! In fact, you can do just about everything from the keyboard. There are special key stroke commands available while in either of the data entry fields:
- shift-up/down-arrow: increments/decrements the current value
- shift-right/left-arrow: increments/decrements the current date
- 'o' or 'c': toggles the drawers (o)pen or (c)losed
"How do I delete a value?"
At the date of the value you'd like to delete, enter an 'x' in the value field and hit return. If you want to delete all data, you can type 'reset' in the value field and hit return.'
"Is my personal information secure?"
Yes. Data is stored locally on your machine, so your personal information is as secure as you keep your computer. Countabit does not make any network connections.
"Can I track more than one thing?"
No, Countabit only supports one data set. With Countabout you can track up to three things with each widget, and you can have unlimited widgets.
"Can I print my Countabit?"
You can only print the Countabit widget by taking a screenshot of it (Cmd-shift-4 and then drag over the widget). Countabout will generate a printable report.
"How do I upgrade to a newer version?"
Just download the new version, and if necessary (depending on your browser), double click on the widget (.wdgt) file. In the dialog telling you that the widget is already installed, click the "Replace" button.
"Will I lose my data if I upgrade to a newer version?"
No, your existing data will remain available.
"If I upgrade to Countabout, can I keep the data I've already entered?"
Yes, Countabout allows you to manage multiple data sets, including any existing Countabit data.
